Accessibility improvements are taking shape at our workforce housing at 27 Evans Avenue in Halifax. We’re nearing completion on the structural steel and canopy framing for a new accessible wheelchair ramp, an important step in improving access at this location.
The ramp reflects a design priority we carry across our projects—creating homes that are usable, welcoming, and supportive of people with diverse mobility needs. The new canopy will provide protection from the elements, offering added comfort for residents and visitors who may need extra time when entering the building.
These improvements are further supported by newly installed commercial doors and accessible door operators, helping ensure safe, dignified, and barrier‑free access for everyone who calls 27 Evans home.
