New wheelchair-accessible ramp

Concrete was poured yesterday at 27 Evans Avenue in Halifax for a new wheelchair-accessible ramp.

At the Housing Trust of Nova Scotia, we know affordability is only one part of what people look for in a home. Accessibility is just as essential—and yet, too often, it’s hard to find. That’s why we’re committed to ensuring accessibility is a top priority during project planning and execution. That accessibility might include design for persons living with visual, auditory or physical disabilities as we work towards our goals.

Thanks to the CMHC’s Canada Greener Affordable Housing program, this accessible ramp project is designed to support comfort, independence, and community living—helping more Nova Scotians access housing that truly meets their needs.
