27 Evans in Halifax is going solar, with Solar Ascent

Our affordable housing community at 27 Evans in Halifax is going solar, with Solar Ascent installing panels as part of a deep energy retrofit.

This important step not only reduces our environmental footprint but also lowers long-term operating costs, helping us keep housing more affordable for residents. Solar energy provides clean, renewable power that supports sustainability while making our buildings more resilient to rising energy costs.

A special thank you to Stotts Architecture Eric Stotts RAIC, AIA for the envelope work, McCarthy’s Roofing who worked with us to prepare the roof and solar curbs, Canada Greener Homes, and Charity Carr with Efficiency One for supporting this work. Partnerships like this make it possible to invest in greener, healthier communities for everyone.
