Housing Trust of Nova Scotia Speaks On The Todd Veinotte Show

On The Todd Veinotte Show, our Executive Director, Angela Bishop, joined the conversation to discuss the ongoing housing crisis in Nova Scotia and the role HTNS plays in creating long‑term, community‑focused solutions.
Angela spoke about the province’s recent partnership with HTNS to preserve 90 homes in Fairview, reinforcing a message we share deeply: every home with rents people can manage counts—and protecting existing units is just as crucial as building new ones.

She also highlighted where HTNS sits on the housing continuum, emphasizing the growing need among moderate‑income working households. Through our mixed‑income model, HTNS is focused on serving this often-overlooked segment by providing stable, non‑market rental homes that align with household income.

Angela discussed our latest acquisitions, our commitment to renovating based on need, and the importance of permanence in Nova Scotia’s housing future.
We’re proud to have Angela represent HTNS and share the work our team is doing to support Nova Scotians—one home at a time.
